Delrin® acetal resin bridges the gap between metals and ordinary plastics with a unique combination of creep resistance, strength, stiffness, hardness, dimensional stability, toughness, fatigue resistance, solvent and fuel resistance, abrasion resistance, low wear and low friction.
Why use an Acetal Homopolymer? Homopolymers perform significantly better than Copolymers in their toughness at extreme temperatures (2x), fatigue endurance (100x), and elongation at yield (2x). Copolymers cannot reach the mechanical properties that Homopolymers offer for demanding applications.
